How to Start?
If you are a parent, call the office closest to you and ask for the Quick Response worker, Doctors, school personnel and community agencies can refer but must obtain your consent.

There is no cost. Open Doors is fully funded by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children's Services.

What if Your Situation is Urgent?

Our telephones are answered 24 hours a day. If your situation is urgent, and you call after hours, one of our managers on call with work with you to stabilize the situation. Our Quick Response Counsellors are able to provide a next day service if needed.

Are you Concerned about your child?
All you have to do is Call!
If you're wondering about the following types of behaviours, just call during regular hours and we can give you suggestions right over the phone and further discuss how our services can assist you and your family.

-Have you noticed changes in your child's behaviour?
-Are you worried about your teen's reactions?
-Do you think your child is too aggressive or too quiet?
-Do you sometimes have serious difficulties managing your child's behaviour?
-Has your child asked to talk to someone about things that are bothering them?

Open Doors offers a safe place to talk about problems and overwhelming feelings. With counselling, done either in groups or individually, we will work with you to find solutions that fit your family.
