Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth values the contributions of caregivers in the development and delivery of services in work with children and youth. We are pleased to share that there was an additional level of engagement with these key stakeholders formalized this year. Our Caregiver Advisory Council was formed and is making contributions to our organization. With a mandate to inform the quality of care that is provided, our Caregiver Advisory Council has provided valuable input to the Quest Quality Improvement project and the grant proposal submitted regarding Family Check-Up.
The members of our Council are:
Co-Chairperson – Vanessa McKay
Member - Andrea Schaefer
Member - Shelly Boothby
"There is a genuine and long history with Open Doors as I too was a youth in need of support and care. 23 years ago I began my own mental health journey. I am deeply rooted to this cause and am honored to be part of supporting families, children and youth in mental health need"
