Single Session Walk In Clinic

Have you ever been dealing with a tough life issue and needed someone to listen, understand, and help you identify ways you can cope? Have you finally gathered the courage to reach out and are ready to work, and want to talk to someone as soon as possible? Open Doors for Lanark Children & Youth recognizes how important it is to feel motivated to ask for help, and the importance of connecting with someone as soon as possible when this happens.

That is why we are pleased to announce the opening of the Walk-In Clinic at Open Doors. We will be offering single counselling sessions focusing on your strengths and abilities and helping you develop new strategies to get “un-stuck” from that difficult place.

The clinic is right for anyone who feels the motivation to change things and wants to make the most of that motivation! Upon your arrival, you will be greeted promptly and we will ensure you are seen as quickly as possible. If a wait is required, our goal is to minimize it as much as we can.

No referrals or appointments are necessary. The single session will often have a 60-90 minute duration. Many people find that a single visit is all they need to change things, but there is the option to be referred to other services if needed.

Please remember this is a walk-in clinic. You are not guaranteed a specific counsellor upon your arrival. We have highly qualified counsellors at Open Doors who work on a rotational basis for this walk-in service.

If you have any questions about the service or regarding custody arrangements and how that might impact your ability to attend a walk-in session, please call us at 613-257-8260 in Carleton Place,                  613-283-8260 in Smiths Falls or 613-264-1415 in Perth.
