Intensive Family Services

Intensive Family Services

The Family Resource Team (FRT) strongly believes that every child and family is different. FRT is an intensive service that works with families to help identify and respond to the unique challenges they face. To support the needs of the family, the FRT worker may work with children or extended family members and also collaborate with school staff and other community agencies. The family resource team can help with parent/child relationships, building problem solving and social skills, understanding diagnosis, co-regulation/self-regulation, specific requests/ praise, positive behaviour support, limit setting and monitoring, growth mindset/self-esteem building and stages of development. Services can be offered directly in the family’s home or in one of our office locations during regular business hours (evening appointments are available).
